We would like to say a huge thank you to centre manager Barry Cartmell, who has now retired, and who has managed The Swan Shopping Centre since its opening ten years ago.   Everyone at The Swan sends their thanks for his incredible service and best wishes for his retirement.

We would also like to welcome new centre manager Peter Hardingham, who comes to The Swan with over 40 years combined retail experience.

Barry wanted to send the below message to thank some of those he was worked with during his career:

“Today, after more than 26 years in property management, I have finally reached the glorious milestone of retirement. In those 26+ years in the industry I have met, worked for, and worked with, many truly wonderful people such as Richard Cooke (Centre Manager, Bull Ring Centre), Brian Leaver (Director, Cadogan Properties Ltd.), Nigel Lea (Director, Savills), Dave Jennings (Warwick Contracts), and many others - I won’t try and list them all here as I would not want to miss anyone. I will specifically mention Patricia Dolly (SSM for ABM) and Naveed Bashir (Deputy to Patricia, ABM) at the Swan Shopping Centre, both of whom are, and have always been, dedicated to ensuring the highest possible standards for the centre, for which I cannot thank them enough, along with their security and cleaning teams.

I will sign off with a very, very, big thank you, and best wishes for the future, to all that I have met along the way that have made my work and life both enjoyable and rewarding.”
